Growing up on the Gold Coast, Josh developed a passion for tennis at a young age, quickly rising to become a top 15 junior in Australia. He represented Queensland in both the Bruce and Pizzey Cups and competed internationally on the ITF Junior circuit.
Josh earned a scholarship to Winthrop University in South Carolina, USA, where he competed in NCAA Division 1 tennis, becoming a two-time conference champion and Conference Player of the Year, and finishing his senior season with an outstanding 27–4 record.
After graduating, Josh competed on the professional tour, reaching a world ranking of 1,100 and securing wins against current top 250 ATP players. He has worked alongside elite players including Alex de Minaur, Gaël Monfils, and Grand Slam champions Ash Barty, Sam Stosur and Juan Sebastián Cabal, and contributed to Bernard Tomic's rise from a ranking of 873 to 183.
Now a Tennis Australia Certified Club Professional Coach, Josh is passionate about sharing his experience with the next generation, delivering personalised, high-quality coaching that challenges players to improve, build confidence and reach their full potential.
