Compete weekly, or work toward an event
Pennants are the heart of competition at Domain Tennis, backed by a tournament calendar that runs right through the year.
Teams of mixed ability are matched against similarly graded opponents and play both singles and doubles across a season. Matches can be as competitive as you want them to be, but the tone stays social from the first night to the finals.
Whether you want a regular team night, the odd match as a substitute, or an event to work toward, there is a way in. If you are not sure where you fit, the office can point you to the right night and grade. After something more casual? Social tennis runs every week.

Pennants, four nights a week
A typical season sees 10 teams play each other once before moving into a three-week finals series. Grades run from Premier down, so there is a level to suit most players.

Enter as a full team or ask to be placed in one. New players are graded first so they start on the right night.
A season runs as 10 teams playing each other once, followed by a three-week finals series.
Members pay the lower fee, and eligible non-members can join a pennant roster with the appropriate club affiliation.

Not ready for a full season? Teams need substitutes every week, and filling in is the easiest way to get a run, meet players, and find a team for next season.

Julian Direen, Tennis Operations Officer, looks after pennant teams, grades and fixtures. For the latest entries, season start dates and availability, the office can point you toward the right night or grade.
Tournaments
The centre hosts junior and adult tournaments right through the year, from club events to nationally ranked competition and the Hobart International each January. Entries for most events run through Tennis Australia, and the office can help with anything that doesn't.
