Our Club
Domain Tennis and Tennis Tasmania are working together on the Domain Hub Masterplan and Upgrade Works Project. The masterplan sets out a 20-year vision for the site, while the first stage of infrastructure upgrades is planned over the next 18 months.
The project is designed to benefit Domain Tennis members, the wider Tasmanian tennis community and major events including the Hobart International. A representative project group meets regularly, and members, leaseholders and neighbours are being consulted as the plans take shape.
The project is progressing well, with the masterplan on track to be completed by the end of 2026. The project team is refining the initial upgrade works so they align with the broader vision for the site. Engagement with stakeholders continues, and options for the site layout will be explored shortly.
Yes. A member survey closed on 20 July 2026. A member forum will present the draft site layout concepts, and the final masterplan will be presented to members before it is adopted.
Detailed planning is still under way. Works will be staged to keep disruption to players and members to a minimum, and we will share timing and any court closures as soon as they are confirmed.
The same applies to our leaseholders: detailed planning is not complete, and we are committed to minimising any impact on the businesses based at the centre. They will be kept informed throughout.
We consult with the Glebe Progress Association, and residents are welcome to check this page for updates or email the project team directly.
The majority of the funding has been pledged by the state and federal governments, with a contribution from Domain Tennis Centre.
