Adult Programs
Tennis allows adults to keep healthy, stay active, form new friendships and be part of a community. Below are lesson options and ways to get involved for all ages and ability levels. The programs are:
- Adults Skills – Beginner, Intermediate, Advance
- Cardio Tennis
- Social Tennis
- Specific population groups – Blind/Low vision tennis, wheelchair tennis
- Pennants
These lesson options will help players develop techniques, tactics, and fitness while building great social connections within a like-minded community.
Adult Skills
Adult group lessons are designed to balance technical, tactical, and fitness aspects while incorporating social elements. These sessions are offered in the following player levels beginner, intermediate and advanced.
- Players: Beginner, intermediate & advance
- Coach ratio: 1:6
- Cost: $20 for DTC members & $22 for non-members per session
- Class duration: 60 minutes.
Cardio
Cardio Tennis does not require tennis skills to get involved. It doesn’t matter if you’ve never played before. Your Cardio coach will host activities for players of all fitness and skill levels. It is a great, high-energy workout with tennis as the tool.

- Coach Ratio: 1:8
- Cost: $20 for DTC members & $22 for non-members per session
- Class duration: 60 minutes.
Pickleball
Pickleball is one of the fastest-growing sports. Its low barrier to entry and social aspect gives it appeal. The DTC lesson will introduce new players to the sport and facilitate game-based play. All levels are welcome.
- Players with all abilities
- Coach Ratio: 1:10
- Cost: $10 for DTC members & $12 for non-members per session
- Class duration: 90 minutes
Social Tennis
Social Tennis provides an excellent opportunity to practice the skills learnt from the adult skills lessons. Simply come along to practice your tennis and meet new people. Our Social Tennis Program caters for players of all ages and standards. It is a great way to improve your game in a fun, social environment with other like-minded players.
Specific Population Groups
The DTC currently works with Reclink to provide weekly programs to specific population groups to get them active physically and mentally. It aims to assist players to be part of the community.
The DTC want to create greater community involvement through tennis. The DTC would love to hear from you about your program ideas.
Pennants
The pennants run all year, the Club boasts a robust pennant system with various competitions to suit any age and ability level. Each pennant runs for approximately three months on a Monday to Thursday evening from 6 pm. Graded teams play against another of a similar standard. Players play both singles and doubles.
