Welcome to the domain hub

Domain Tennis and Tennis Tasmania are working together to deliver the Domain Hub Masterplan and Upgrade Works Project.

The Project will develop a 20-year Masterplan for the site, and also plan for the delivery of priority infrastructure works to be delivered over the next 18 months. These works will have an immediate benefit to Domain Tennis members, the Tasmanian Tennis community, and support significant events such as the Hobart International.

We know it is important for users of the site to contribute to its future vision. A representative group is meeting regularly to collaborate and provide input to the development of the Domain Hub and the upgrade works. We will also speak directly with Domain Tennis members and key stakeholders in the coming weeks.

Interested members of the public and tennis community can stay updated on the project latest news by regularly checking this website, frequently asked questions (in development), and registering for updates using the below form. Project Update – July 2026

The project is progressing well, with the masterplan on track to be completed by the end of 2026. We’re continuing to shape the initial site upgrade works, making sure they are sensitive to the broader site vision.

We’re also regularly speaking with key stakeholders and expect to start exploring site layout options in the next few weeks.

Project FAQs

1. I am a member of Domain Tennis Centre. Will I have the opportunity to provide feedback on the project?

A: This survey closed on 20 July 2026. We will also be holding a forum for members to view the draft site layout concept, ask questions and provide feedback. At the end of the project, the finalised masterplan will be presented. It will provide an opportunity to understand the vision for the site and the delivery process and staging.

2. I play at the Domain Tennis Centre regularly. Will the infrastructure works interrupt my use of the facility?

A: Detailed planning for the works has not yet been completed. It is intended that any impacts to users and leaseholders will be minimised. We will work closely with any impacted stakeholders and provide an update once impacts (if any) are known.

3.I am a leaseholder at the Domain Tennis Centre. Will the infrastructure works interrupt my business?

A: We are consulting with the Glebe Progress Association throughout this project and will advise of opportunities to provide feedback.

5. How will the project be funded?

A: The majority of financial support for the project has been pledged by both state and federal Governments, with a contribution also provided by Domain Tennis Centre.
