RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR PENNANTS AT DOMAIN TENNIS CENTRE

The following rules and regulations have been designed to ensure that every player gets to play every week!

It is important you read and understand the rules and regulations to enjoy your pennant to its fullest.

CLUB MEMBERS:  Only financial club members are eligible for Domain Tennis Centre pennants.  If teams play non-members they will lose all points for that particular set/s.

FORFEITS (no shows/no excuse):  If a player does not show up for a scheduled match by the due time he/she may forfeit the set/s.  If a player forfeits twice he/she will be excluded from the pennant.  There will be no refund of pennant fees.

PLAYER ITN:  After players have been given an ITN they cannot play below the level they have been graded at.  Any breaches of this rule will result in the loss of any points gained by that player.

FILL-IN PLAYERS:  Players requiring a replacement must arrange their own fill-in player from the fill-in list.  They must inform their team captain or another team member of the fill-in to be used.  The General Manager must approve fill-in players used who are not on the list.  Fill-in players cannot be of a higher grading than the player replaced.  The use of an unapproved fill-in player will result in the forfeit of the set/s and the loss of five pennant points from the offending team.

For finals fill-ins must be approved by the General Manager

PENNANT TIMES:  Teams should ensure two sets are underway by 6.00 pm.

INCLEMENT WEATHER:  In the event of courts being too wet for play a decision on cancellation of the pennant for that day will be made at 4.30 pm.  If the weather is unsettled team captains will make a decision on whether play shall proceed at the scheduled commencement of the match.

RESULT SHEET:  Both teams must sign the result sheet to verify the result as correct.

FINALS:  In the result of a drawn grand final the team that finished higher on the ladder will be declared the winner.

ETIQUETTE:   If in doubt the ball is good.

ATTIRE:  All players must wear appropriate, non-marking tennis shoes.

THE ENFORCEMENT OF THESE RULES AND REGULATIONS WILL BE AT THE DISCRETION OF THE GENERAL MANAGER.  THE GENERAL MANAGER’S DECISION WILL BE FINAL.
